Angela Maes, LCSW, OwnerOwner & Clinical Director
ANGELA P. MAES, LCSW. Angela is the Owner & Clinical Director of Healthy Families. She is a licensed independent Social Worker with a certification in EMDR by the EMDR Institute. She is a proud volunteer of Give an Hour - a program established to provide free mental health counseling services for military & their families. She has extensive training in Trauma & Abuse and has developed classes and programs for Anger Management, Building Self-Esteem.
Erica Jacknin, MA, ATR, -BC, RYT, LPATErica’s formal education and training include an MA in Art Therapy from The George Washington University in Washington DC, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), yoga, meditation, and meridian-based therapies (EFT).
She believes our challenges are our greatest teachers, that endings are the first stage of beginnings, and that what comes in between can feel like murky confusion, emotional despair, and feeling ungrounded.
Steve Shewmake, LMHCSteve Shewmake is a LMHC who graduated with an M.A. in Professional Counseling from Amberton University in Garland, TX. He is a LADAC and certified Master Addiction Counselor. Steve graduated from Memphis Theological Seminary with an M.Div. degree, and has over 20 years experience as a pastor and as a chaplain to people of all faiths and backgrounds. He believes that the foundation to all therapeutic relationships is respect.
Lucia Bisbee, LCSWLucia is a therapist who works with individuals, adolescents (ages 13 and up) and families. Lucia has a background in crisis intervention, trauma counseling, attachment, mindfulness and substance abuse treatment. Lucia's therapeutic focus is regaining intimacy and forming secure relationships, improving positive self-image, and creating healthy attachments after traumatic experiences.
William Blythe, LMHC, NCCWill Blythe is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who is trained in EMDR and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. He connects with heart-centered empathy and believes real strength comes from uncovering one’s vulnerabilities and integrating aspects of the core self into conscious awareness.
Will’s counseling incorporates an Attachment and Object Relations focus, Mindfulness, and a Psychodynamic orientation. Will is a native New Mexican who earned his M.A. in Counseling from the University of N.M.
Susanne Drury, PhD.Susanne Drury has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from University of Chicago. She is a Certified Expert Trauma Professional and is Certified in EMDR and trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Internal Family Systems. Her goal to help people get their lives back when they have experienced depression, anxiety , or trauma. She encourages people to treat themselves with compassion while they heal the wounded parts of themselves.
Patrick Ficke, LMHCPatrick Ficke is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who graduated from ENMU with a B.A. in Psychology & Criminal Justice. He received his Master's in Counseling from Wayland Univ., & is now certified in EMDR. He worked in law enforcement as a crisis negotiator & crisis intervention officer--working with law enforcement officers, military, veterans, adolescents, couples, & families. He supports the individual's intellectual, emotional & physical development through a supportive, safe treatment.
Gabriel Garcia, LMHCGabriel is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who graduated from NM Highlands University with a B.A. in History & Minor in Native American & Hispano Cultural Studies and Master’s in Counseling. He has experience working with children, adolescents, couples, & families as well as people whom have struggled with addictions & severe mental illnesses such as depression, PTSD, & schizophrenia. He has previously worked as a court liaison for a DWI Drug Court Treatment addiction cessation program.
Patricia Grana, LCSWTrained in family systems theory at Washington University in St Louis, Patricia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over (20) years of experience in the field, she works primarily with adults, and has considerable experience in helping individuals who suffer from trauma, anxiety, and depression.
Alexandra Herrera, LMSWAlexandra Herrera is a Licensed Master Social Worker, who graduated from NM Highlands University with a master’s in clinical social work. Alexandra provides strength-based and trauma informed therapy to children (0-12), adolescents, adults, & families with a variety of mental health issues and socio-culture backgrounds. Alexandra specializes in infant mental health, child-parent psychotherapy, & attachment-based family therapy. She is also a certified Circle of Security Parent Facilitator.
Christine Johnsen, MA LMHC NCCChristine is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and a graduate of The University of New Mexico. She believes in a solution-focused, strengths-based model of therapy while integrating mindfulness, play therapy, and art therapy into her practice. She works with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Christine's counseling interests include acute mental health, career, trauma, grief, and disability.
Robert Lewis, LMFTRobert Lewis, MA/LMFT is a Marriage & Family Therapist trained in family systems & EMDR. An experienced therapist, Robert has 30 yrs experience working with diverse populations. Robert specializes in couple's therapy teaching effective communication skills and relationship enhancement. Additional areas of expertise are in addiction work and treating mood disorders, anxiety & depression. Robert has unique experience, having worked at District Court for several years as a clinician/mediator.
Bruce Lindsey, LCSWBruce Lindsey, LCSW, has worked in a variety of clinical settings including residential treatment centers, juvenile justice programs, & the treatment of foster care children. He has worked with a variety of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special needs. Bruce is currently employed as a school social worker at Albuquerque Public Schools. Bruce was educated at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania and received his Masters of Social Work degree at Simmons College in Boston, MA.
Krystalyn Madden, MA LMHCKrystalyn is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Family Studies, as well as a graduate degree in Counseling. She believes in a solution-focused perspective and integrates elements of DBT, CBT, and ACT into her therapeutic approach. Krystalyn’s counseling interests include eating disorders, body dysmorphia, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, and life adjustments.
Gabrielle Maldonado, LMSWGabrielle Maldonado graduated from New Mexico Highlands University with a Master's in clinical social work. Gabrielle loves to work with children and adolescents, using a strength based approach, as well as attachment-based therapy. Gabrielle enjoys spending time with her family and cooking.
She is also specialized in Infant Mental Health.
Carrie Martinez, LMSWCarrie is licensed as a master’s level social worker. She works with adults and youth, ages 10 and up. She has a primary interest in working with individuals struggling with depression and anxiety or life choices, in general. She believes in spiritual inner healing and human connectedness as the most essential ingredients for a more meaningful and joyful life. Carrie is mom to 4 school-aged children and many foster cats and kittens!
Denise M Raven, PhDDenise Raven received her Master's in Social Work from New Mexico State University and her PhD in Social Work from Colorado State University. She has experience as a school social worker in urban and rural schools. Denise is a registered play therapist supervisor and works from a client centered approach. Denise uses play, sand tray play, guided imagery, EMDR and developmentally based movements in her work with children and adults.
Kerttu Reesna, LMSWKerttu is a Licensed Master Social Worker, who received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Women Studies from Portland State University and her master’s degree from New Mexico State University. Kerttu has a background in working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. She is passionate about providing strength based and trauma informed therapy to adults who have experienced trauma and women who are struggling with perinatal or postpartum depression.
Annique Wagner-Hiester, LMSWAnnique views therapy as the opportunity to meet & interact with the self to promote self-awareness, balance, & facilitate growth. She works within a strength-based perspective while incorporating various approaches including, cognitive behavior therapy, family systems, psychodrama, mindfulness techniques & narrative explorations of the psyche; she works primarily with those 12 & up, couples & families experiencing trauma, abuse, grief & loss, anxiety, depression, anger, & change and transition.
Daniela Weiner, LMSWDaniela enjoys working with people from all walks of life, especially children, adolescents and families, and believes true healing happens in the relationship context. She works from a strengths-based, client-centered perspective, and has experience in play therapy, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy. In her free time, Daniela enjoys spending time in nature and with those close to her.
Judy Willmore, LPCCOriginally from Pasadena, CA, Judy is a professional writer & editor who moved to New Mexico in 1996 to pursue a career in mental health. She received her MS in Clinical Psychology from New Mexico Highlands University and has since been working with adolescents and adults specializing in PTSD, depression, grief, & spiritual issues of all kinds. Judy is trained in EMDR and cognitive behavior therapy, and enjoys working with clients from all religious and cultural backgrounds.
Chelsea Wright, LMHC, NCCChelsea is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. She works with children (3 & up), young adults/adults, couples, and families. She believes that empathy and authenticity are the foundation for growth. Chelsea is passionate about helping individuals work through anxiety, trauma, life-change, and personal growth while integrating aspects of play therapy, sand tray therapy, art, and humor.
Kendra Kozel, Art Therapy InternKendra graduated from Carlow University in Pittsburgh, PA with her Bachelor of Arts with a focus on fine art and psychology. She is currently pursuing her Master's in Art Therapy and Counseling degree from Southwestern College in Santa Fe. Kendra works with individual clients 5 years and older. Kendra worked with at risk youth at her first internship, through an after-school nonprofit program. She has worked with children for over 10 years. Specialties: art therapy and person-centered theory.
